Most of the music download sites just disappoint you by complicated navigation, annoying ads, unknown plugins, and even VIRUS.

For these reasons, I collected a list of 60+ free music download sites. Then I spent a whole week to test these websites one by one. Finally, I figured out 9 sites that truly provide SAFE & FREE music download.

You can play the songs before downloading them, but when you're ready to save the songs to your computer, add the item to your cart. Then, you can check out as if you were purchasing something. You'll be taken to a link to download the free music, and it'll also be saved in the Digital Orders tab of your order history.

Not all songs can be downloaded for free but for the ones that don't have a minimum price: choose Buy Digital Track, enter 0 in the box, select download to your computer, and follow the on-screen prompts to get the download.

SoundCloud is a website that lets you stream and download free music. Content at SoundCloud is sometimes uploaded by professional artists, while others are shared by independent musicians.

However, if you filter your search results for Creative Commons videos only, it's completely safe to download music from YouTube. Look for videos that have download links to the audio, but if you're sure it's legal and don't see a download link, you can still get it with a YouTube to MP3 downloader.
